If I had to put myself in a photography category it would be that of “passionate amateur”.  I consider myself a fine arts photographer and to me the whole world is an inspiration, for better or for worse.

The world is a different place when viewed through the eyes of a photographer.  It’s more – more beautiful, more frightening, more mysterious, more fragile.  Through photography, I try to bring the attention of others to the way I see things and to remind myself of emotions that I have felt.  One thing I know for sure is that the variety that can be found in this world is infinite, but so is the similarity. The camera can see it all.

I photograph extensively in my native south Louisiana, but also nationally and internationally.  In fact, I photograph just about anywhere.  I have studied with some of the finest instructors that can be found, and my work has been shown in many juried exhibits in Louisiana, Texas, and California.

Almost all of my photography is digital unless it is from scans of early film exposures.  Also I often have fun going back to film using a “toy” plastic camera.

I took up serious photography late in life and think I must be one of the most fortunate of photographers. This is because I now have the time and energy this passion of mine requires.  So please enjoy my web site and contact me if you have any comments or questions.
